KC Health Initiative Mission

The KC Health Initiative was founded by Gigi Jones, a cancer survivor and the visionary behind Midwest Soul Vegfest. Gigi’s journey is living proof of the transformative healing power of a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle—a diet that medical research has shown to not only halt but also reverse established coronary artery disease, the leading cause of death in the U.S.

Inspired by her own health transformation, Gigi is passionate about empowering others with the education and support needed to reclaim their health. We believe that access to health resources and adopting a clean, organic, plant-based diet can improve individual well-being, protect the planet, and lay the foundation for a longer, more energized life.

Our mission is to build a health-conscious, justice-driven community by providing key resources, educational programs, and support. Through seminars, festivals, and free plant-based meals for children and families in urban core communities, we aim to inspire lasting lifestyle changes.
